A Celebration of Nu Chapter’s Birthday
Dress of the Day—Hats and Gloves to
honor our History with Music Through the
Decades led by Angie at the keyboard.
Hats and gloves were in abundance at the meeting honoring our birthday. Feathered hats, pillboxes, and everything in between graced the dining room of FBC Kyle which was decorated with floor length white tablecloths graced by hats trimmed in spring flowers and ribbons with lovely gloves which were brought out of hiding in most cases. Some were even borrowed from students!
Red roses were on the president's table as well as gloves and hats. Classic attire was also seen on some of the ladies.
The hats on the tables served as door prizes for the lucky ladies seated in specific chairs.
The following slide show will give you an idea of the beauty displayed in the room.

Veteran's Day Tribute November 2012Nu Chapter presented a Veteran's Day tribute on November 13 in San Marcos. Those attending enjoyed a lovely dinner provided by San Marcos and Wimberly members.
After the meal, Lelia Levenson, author of "The Invisible Legacy of WWII", the story of her father's wartime experiences, shared his story and her experience as his daughter. It was a poignant and moving time for all of us. Several members shared family pictures from wartime service by family members from early WWII through Desert Storm and up to today. The following is a slide show of
some of the pictures taken at the program. |
